My Citizenship certificate was mailed back to me, 2 days after my CC was charged. I thought the certificates came back with the passport, or once the application was completed. Has anyone else had their certificate sent back to them so quickly? Is this a sign my passport is coming soon?

I just received my Canadian Citizenship Certificate back in the mail. CC was charged on June 6, certificate sent June 7, and received June 8. Does that mean I can expect my passport soon, or just that they scanned it and sent it back?

At some point each day I need to stop calling so I can either do my work/look after my baby/do groceries etc. I repeatedly call for over an hour some days same as you (3-4 seconds a call before hanging up). I've even got my repeat dial set up to skip past the language select. Never get through.

I've called that number 50 times a day for 2 weeks. I've never been placed in the queue and only get the automated message. I've no idea how others do it.

Finally had my credit card charged today. Summitted April 11. nothing on my son's passport yet.

What is this other number you refer to? I called again all afternoon yesterday, and then been calling again this morning with no progress. Keep getting the same generic info messages. Also, how do you get your file number? If I call the payment line and don't have a file number surely they wont...

How does anyone get through to speak to someone? I just called 1-800-567-6868 100 times, as well as 30 times this morning and I keep getting the "for general information such as how and where to apply ..." and the connection gets put into a queue. Been trying for days now.

I applied April 11 and my son's on May 4. No CC charge for either and not recognized as being in the system. Part of me feels like they lost it but then again, this is a really slow process, and not dealt with on an 'as received' basis.

My thoughts too. After the whole journey to become a citizen to then be stuck in a place where you cant move around freely, its quite annoying. Hope you get an update soon!
