October Applicants approved in December 2020 (For January 2021 intake), please share your timeline of visa processing!

I think it doesn't matter. If you have submitted your application before December 15 and for winter 2021, IRCC would consider processing in 2 stages. I heard that doing this would allow IRCC to process applications faster.

Did you all read the new update from IRCC? The 2-stage process still continues and extended for winter intake. Here is the link below. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students.html#apply-study-permit How we process applications We’ll...

    GCkey down?

The processing times are not correct. If you read it clearly, it says it just an estimation from previous processing applications. There are some students who had their approval within a month or around.

    GCkey down?

Thank you friend. I can understand your situation, and getting an idea what receiving an AIP means practically. Even I had been thinking that the 2 stage process would be discontinued for winter intake. What is your study program/course that you have been offered in Canada?

    GCkey down?

AIP is called Approval in principle, which the IRCC has initiated to process study permit applications faster, as it was affected by covid 19. The AIP process has a different way of screening which involves 2 stages verification steps. See the link below under the section applying online. I'm...

    GCkey down?

Yes, I read this update today. Surprised to see that the 2 stage process still continues and extended as well. Does this mean every study permit application will only necessarily be considered for AIP?

I didn't see major update though, but I noticed my eligibility status started to show as "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" the moment after the medical update.

    Non-sds, India (Medical request timeline)

Hey, I applied under non-sds category on October 17, 2020. I received my medical request on December 9, 2020 following my biometrics submission on December 8, 2020. To answer your question on taking medical exam before IRCC's request, no, you are not supposed to take your medical exam unless...

From India, applying for PhD, can I apply through SDS

In my case, I didn't pay the fee yet, as I was informed that my scholarship will contribute to the tuition fee when I activate my scholarship after registering to the doctoral program. However, I still need to wait and see what IRCC thinks about this. I have explained about this in the letter of...

Application/Profile Updated -- Ghost Update on Profile

Thank you very much indeed. i think I am undergoing the similar process pretty much same as yours, except the email that says We are working on your application. This would be probably because the embassy might be busy in handling large volumes of backlog applications. Sure, I will follow up...

    Need suggestion on passport submission

I am not sure if there is an email for IRCC. You can check that with others. But, generally, everyone submits their inquiry through a web form available in the IRCC website. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp You need to go to this link and submit your details like application...

    Need suggestion on passport submission

I think you should submit your old passport for stamping, because applying passport renewal might take some time and you have to make sure it shouldn't clash with your passport stamping. You may have to think this way. The embassy didn't ask you for renewed passport and its common by all...

    Need suggestion on passport submission

Hi, you can very well travel with the passport that has your student visa to Canada. Once you reach Canada, reach out to Indian embassy before 6 months from the date of expiry of your passport. Go to Indian embassy office in Canada, perhaps you may have to travel to another city to renew your...

From India, applying for PhD, can I apply through SDS

I see. I just guessed it, based on Quebec living expenses. I didn't know that other part of Canada would be much higher than Quebec.
