I don’t think that’s true . I just completed my process in 10 months with certificate in hand.

You will be asked while you are checking in for the oath of u have travel plans coming up , to which you will obviously say yes and your certificate can be expedited to you. You can walk in to a passport office within two days of your travel date and pay the extra fees and then get the passport...

I submitted to a Service Canada last week - I’ll update on how long things take here.

Mine . Test completed Feb 20, and I was invited for the oath about 3 weeks later

Yea it is, but I rather stand in line and collect my certificate back right away than hope and pray it doesn’t get lost in the mail

You should post the “lawyers name “ here so people avoid going to him /her for work. what a scam !

I’m not certain if it’s mandatory but they may ask if it doesn’t match when they are checking your documents. After the oath Niagara sent an email to us reminding us to send the oath form back and also asked us to confirm the mailing address for the certificate when returning the signed oath...
