what you heard is correct, the maximum number of days you can count towards your citizenship before you get your PR is the equivalent of 1 year (so 2 years stay calculated at 0.5 day)

Yes it is fine to re-enter Canada with 5 month (or any # of months) validity on your RTD. You are a PR you can enter and exit any time with or without RTD.

I dont have personal experience with this. My guess is if they misspelt your name that is an issue but if you have a long/multiple names and they left out some of the additional names it wont be (I have a 5 part name and some airlines embassies leave out some of my middle names with no issue)...

I would give your new job the current valid work permit and apply for a renewal of the WP at the same time. I always applied 2-3 months before expiry of my WP.

i applied for and got a tourist visa in 2022, i dont know about any other visa for india. so where is your rtd? with bls? they stopped giving tourist visas end of last year and have not restarted for RTD holders yet.

you do not need your PR card to pick up your passport. I sent my ecopr in the email to request for my passport. I showed my mailing address proof and drivers license. on the appointment letter to pick up your passport they will specify what ID you need.
