You are right, everyone should go through that. However I would expect to receive the request after SA. I have not received my SA yet and my ECAS still shows in progress ! That's why I find it strange

Have you checked your GC account? did they request for your biometric ? I am confused that if my SA has been approved or not, because I have got the biometric request

Hi everyone, My parents received biometric request, even though they have done that few months ago for visitor visas. ECAS still shows In Process and I have not received anything else. So I guess Medical and PCC should come next along with my SA ?

But Police Certificate is done by the security departments of other countries, not the visa offices

@gigab and @USK PCC could be even completed in Canada. It just takes longer and it costs more. The fingerprints should be done by Canadian Police department and then they send it (or you send it) to the office handling PCC in your home country (or any other country that you need to provide...

Has he kept the income above the MNI for the past year? Has he got his SA approval before that?

PCC from Canada is not required. PCC from other countries is required to show that you are clear and you are not inadmissible based on criminality. Canada has access to its own sources regarding the backgrounds of each applicant. They do not have access to the ones in other countries

Hi @USK During the past month, I have noticed that once you submit the biometric for the visa, you will receive a letter indicating This biometric is only for the visa purposes and if you are applying for PR, you need to resubmit your biometric.
