Among the APRIL 2023 group, how many are still waiting to get Passport Requests? Just to be clear, I'm assuming/asking this question from Non-Quebec, OUTLAND Spousal PR applicants.

They cancelled the interview? Simply after receiving the additional docs, they cancelled the interview? Would really like to hear in detail - if you are comfortable to share. Also after cancellation, what did they inform you? Have you received COPR or Passport request yet?

Not sure if its stuck or CIC STAFF has just abandoned updating it. I know some from 2023 group, did not get updates since March 2024. There are applicants from Nov/Dec 2022, who did not get updates from September 2023.... CIC needs a full reboot....as in boot the hell out all inefficient staff...

Attention: All Canadian Citizens or PR Holders who have sponsored a Spousal PR Application. Is your application stuck in Background Check or Eligibility for the past 12+ Months, while CIC website boasts 10 month processing time? Have you called your local MP office, CIC Call center, paid for...

And for spousal PR applicants....10 months or more....is the waiting time for only background checks to clear. Once that clears, they send an email that an officer has flagged your file for interview. You will be getting an appointment date in the next 6-12 months.

Perhaps cuz VISA mills are busy printing study and work permits and holders of those are bringing their spouses in record 5 months. They don't have to go through background checks, so naturally its going to be quicker.

Whats the online tracker showing for Eligibility and Background check? Are both of those still in progress? PAL is never the barometer to know how soon COPR will be finalized. One your background status is changed to complete, then you will start to see action in days. Before that, its pretty...

Can you please elaborate a little further about extension? Did you receive email notification that it got extended OR Was their an explicit notification on your tracker saying that it got extended, or new expiry date is shown. Thank you.

For some its taking more than 5 months. Each application is treated differently.
