Not on my end at least. Assuming that they started my background check in June based on CGMS notes, and considering that it takes about 10 months at this time, I am expecting an update around early May for my background check and maybe oath around July. This is my guesstimation!

You are not alone. There are lots of people like you (including me). You can order GCMS notes to find further details. It helped me to find out that I am stuck at security clearance for the past 8 months. Other than waiting, we can't do much :)

The problem is, nobody knows how long it is going to take to complete the SS. It takes only one month for some, and for others it takes a long time. All of us just speculating here and trying to figure out the system but we are only guessing! I don't know your situation, but I would say there...

I applied for CSIS ATIP over a month ago and I finally received the result. They sent me a letter (email) mentioning that my security clearance is still in progress (since June). They said they can't add any details. At least we can confirm that I am still stuck at the security screening stage...

It seems like we have a very similar timeline and details! As hard as it is, it makes me hopeful to see that there is at least another person in the same situation :) We will get it soon!!

OMG it is so so terrible I am sorry! What excuses could they possibly have at this point? Do you know the status of your security clearance?

This logic doesn't apply to me. I have been in Canada since 2013. Became a PR in 2021. I barely left the country (maybe 1.5 months in the last 10 years total).

All are assigned by AR26915 to RC-8090 (Sydney). What I see is that everything is assigned to RC-8090.

This is a good question. In my GCMS notes I see that even though my primary office is Vancouver, everything is being processed by CPC Sydney! I have no idea what the primary office's job even is!

I know! But I also understand that we just want to get it over with after decade(s) long wait! We have waited so long, we can wait a bit longer :) Even though it sucks!
