R u waiting for AINP nomination

"Do you guys think the current processing times are legit?" I think so Phil, becasue as I was told yesterday, the quota remains the same as last year. I don't see myself getting this thing before November, and I applied through the SRS Post Grad stream (which shouldn't take too long to...

R u waiting for AINP nomination

All I am saying is that not everybody is in the same boat, or has the same options to apply for Express Entry. Thus, the paper route is necessary for unskilled individuals who receive provincial nominations, whereas Skill 0, A and B people have both options. My point is the paper route shouldn't...

I don't think it was meant for hotel workers because Express Entry was made for SKILLED workers and most hotel workers are not skilled.

I called them today and the representative told me that the quota will still be 5500 this year. I asked him why this was not posted on the website; he said they have not updated it as yet.

Do you guys have any idea how much it will cost to apply for PR if/when we get our nominations?

R u waiting for AINP nomination

They obviously want hotel workers and engineers specically to meet their labour market needs. Sometimes I think I should have gone back in the hotel industry and been a house man or a cleaner or a bell boy or something back in July when I applied under the SRS Post Grad Program but I got a job...

Its obvious they want engineers. Office people like myself are at the back of the line.

Provincial Nomination received - Laid off - AINP - Help please

I personally don't think you have to tell AINP, but I am no expert. You applied in the SRS class, not the employer driven, so I would say no. What *I* would do if I were in your position, is to aggressively look for a job, and then inform CIC or AINP of your new circumstances.

Brother, please follow the CIC agent and not what these uninformed posters are saying. Its better to be safe than sorry. :P

Post Graduate Work Permit and EE

Yes I just had a look. I would have to be a miserable pathetic person to have received my PR recently and harbour these views and spout them on an immigration forum: "I'm gonna vote conservative because they best represent my interests: lower taxes, lower immigration, couldn't ask for better...

Post Graduate Work Permit and EE

I saw the part where he was bragging that he already had his PR after I made my post - which was in poor taste Marcus, you, of all people, should know how it feels to be in our position. You have your PR, thank God. Others don't, and theres no need to rub that fact in anybody's face...

Post Graduate Work Permit and EE

Marcus, you are not in denial in the least. It plainly states that without an LMIA or a Provinicial Nominee Program Nomination, you cannot apply successfully in the Express Program. What Marcus is saying IS TO BE PREPARED and not bury your head in the sand. You have worked and toiled too hard in...

Yes, if you have a skill 0, A, or B, position. It would aid you signficantly in the process, otherwise no.

Hey, I went to the immigration fair yesterday in Calgary and I asked about the time line. The woman noted that our occupations play a role in us getting nominations faster (this is based on Alberta labour needs as we all knew) but she said that it is a primarily first come first serve...
