I had recruiters reach out to me on Linkedin and I asked for a remote job from Canada. It is a decent size company with offices in US, Canada and few other countries. Just don't change location to Canada on Linkedin, there are far more opportunities in US.

The plan was to spend two years in the US, hopefully get my GC, if not come back to Canada to maintain residency requirements. But I got a job in the US paying almost exactly the same while working remote from Canada. Granted I could lose my job anyday but I also don't have to scramble my...

No it is not guaranteed. It depends on my staying at my current company. I am trying to not lose my Canadian PR while also having a shot at the US.

I understand that. My debate is between spending 2.5 years in Canada to get my citizenship and going TN route vs spending 2.5 years in US to get my green card.

Thanks. It's just, I can't lose Canadian PR, but I'd prefer US PR. Everyone I talk to tells me to get a citizenship first and go through TN route. I have a Master's degree from the US. I just don't know anyone who got a green card though NIW. I will do some research on this.

Hi all, Just wanted to pick your brain for a moment. I got my Canadian PR in August 2022. I also have H1B petition approved (EB1). I am debating between: a) Go to Canada, get my citizenship in 4 years, b) Schedule an interview and enter US on a H1 status. Option a) is safer. Option b) takes...
