John doesn't need to show anything either. Only the sponsor needs to show proof of intent to return.

But let's say the child receives his PR. Does the child HAS to meet the 2 year residency requirement after being a PR or he is exempted if he lives with his mother in US.

    Contract work from USA

Just an update folks. Interview went well and B1/B2 visa was approved, waiting for the passport now. Wasn't asked any documentation about the business meeting or intent to return but was asked how long i lived in US, Canada, when i moved to Canada and typical questions.

    Spousal sponsorship

Thanks for getting back. What would constitute proof? We're both young and don't have a house or anything out here so I'm not sure what I can use to prove this. Would a letter from my current Canadian employer stating that they plan on employing me dependent on my visa successfully coming...

    Spousal sponsorship

As long as you have proof of cohabitation for at least one year, being in the UK won't matter for common-law status. You will need proof of intent to return to Canada, for your partner and yourself.

Different between inland and outland application package

Khp I understand that part fully, what I'm asking if they is a different set of application package from ircc websites for the inland and outland? Are it the same package and you just put it in the difference document?

Different between inland and outland application package

If the sponsor and PA do not live together in an outland application (like if the sponsor is in Canada) then there may be a requirement to provide proof of contact and travel between the two. If the sponsor and PA live together outside Canada, they will need to provide proof of intent to...

Extension on medical - who to contact?

shouldnt be a problem to provide proof of giving notice to her employer. We can get a letter from the provincial office of education where she works. would a return ticket to canada plus that be sufficient?

Extension on medical - who to contact?

They may have started processing already, no way to know for sure. The issue is that your spouse may be requested for more proof that she is returning as soon as the app is approved. If she can't show that, it will likely be refused. IRCC has previously requested proof of leaving or giving...

Extension on medical - who to contact?

We included a detailed explanation of our plans and timeline with the application, including a letter from her family saying they are planning to have us stay with them when we arrive at that time. We have also included correspondence with prospective employers with whom we discussed out...

Extension on medical - who to contact?

Webform is the only way. You applied way too early. Outland American apps are generally processed in 6-8 months. You are unlikely to get an extension to the medical to delay your app. Also, your wife is required to show proof of intent to return as soon as the app is approved, which would be...

    Am I eligible to apply?

Honestly wouldn't try the sponsorship route. Once IRCC reviews intent to return and sees that you just started a PhD in the US, you are pretty much guaranteed to receive a request for solid proof of intent to return to Canada as soon as the app is approved and they aren't likely to believe...

    Am I eligible to apply?

Evaluation of proof of intent to return to Canada would be done much later and not all the fees would be refunded. Only the RPRF fee.

    sponsoring my son

Anything that shows you have serious intent to return to Canada and/or have maintained strong ties there - looking for work, looking for a place to live, support letters from friends and family, quitting your current job (or making arrangements to do so), Canadian bank accounts. If returning...

Sponsor leaving Canada while waiting for PR.

Passport already sent to Vienna, so it's outland and already approved. No need to notify IRCC or prove intent to return

    Spousal sponsorship

So yes you can leave Canada during the sponsorship process. You will proof that you will be returning once your spouse gets PR. You can search the forum about intent to return but Canada requires a lot of proof because many never actually returned to Canada.
