You can work part time until your results come out., then you cant work. Once you apply for pgwp you can work full time, provided you applied with a valid study permit and were allowed to work before.

Yes for PGWP and same for my wife for dependent spouse work visa.

You can't work before your studies start. If you did there's nothing you can do except apologize and hope they don't refuse your PGWP application.

That's right, it woulnt be a PGWP. If you get an ITA before your permit expires you can look into Bridge Open Work Permit. Cheers
