    for spousal sponsorship, family is defined as spouse and kids. so parents and siblings of the PA are not included as part of the family definition.

    For a spousal sponsorship, the only problem would be if you are bankrupt, or claiming social assistance (welfare). Other debt, or problems with CRA, doesn't matter.
