Turkey2013 is correct. The visa office manually updates the Ecas status. Sometimes, they don't even change it at all. They have been working on my file since the end of October (they asked for additional documents from us) and my husband had a telephone call from the embassy on November 27...

WOW! Finally! My e-cas has now changed to "In Process" It says it has been in process since November 27, 2013 which was the day of my husband's telephone interview. It is about time this has changed! I am very excited now!!!!

No changes in Ecas! He had a work permit extension in Los Angeles and they wanted to make sure he has never lived there or traveled there (because we indicated on his application that he did not). I don't see anything bad either, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had a "phone interview"...
