Hello April Forum! I forgot to tell you all that my husband received PPR! He received it on February 22, 2014 and will land on March 10, 2014! We applied through the Ankara embassy. Good luck to everyone still waiting PPR!

Thank you! That's what it said on Service Canada website as well but one of his friends told him he needs to apply when he gets to Canada... but thank you for confirming I feel better now. Oh yes we own a house together so we have a Canadian address :)

The embassy called my husband and notified when the visa was ready, they then sent it via cargo to his home in Istanbul (this took 4 business days).

WOW! $7000 is CRAZY to spend on a lawyer! My lawyer wasn't even a quarter of the cost of that. So sorry about this :( it's a shame that lawyers take advantage of people who are in need! I wish they were more consistent with their costs.
