What about restrictions of your work permit? If none you can apply for Bridging open work permit I have it right now. Like my closed work permit was for 6 months, so I needed to extend it.I still work for the same employer, but if something happens I can find a new employer.

The only thing that jumps out at me here is the fact that a PGWP is not extendable and therefore would not qualify under implied status. The only time you could benefit from implied status is if you are bridging your PGWP while applying and waiting for PR via the CEC (Canadian Experience Class)...
