Hello Guys, I just got my nomination. How long does it take to get a file number from CIC? I plan to get a bridging open work permit. Current work permit expires on last week of September. I need advice if its better to get an LMIA or proceed with bridging work permit.

Thanks for your reply. My friend- Bridging open work permit got approved who have got AOR for his PR pnc Non express entry application. So, Applicants with Valid AOR will be given bridging Open work permit as per CIC. What is that 230$ .. Are you mentioning about LMIA ?

Not just ITA, they need AOR with it too

Once your current visa and work permit are within 4 months of expiry, then you can and should, apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit.

Unfortunately not. You can only apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) If your current work permit will about to expire within 4 months.

You can't restore to a bridging open work permit. It's simply not possible You must be holding a valid work permit at the time you submit the BOWP application.
