I said I was ready to leave immediately, did not mention dates. But I attached my Air canada voucher and said I can book my flights anytime.
Hi AGN / All

If someone received this kind of email in Delhi, I received at 3.00 am in morning time.

My COPR issued before March 18 and expired in mid of August 2020.

Extension web form was raised in July and nothing was done later but I was planing to raise RTT soon.

I got an email today asking me if I am ready to travel as my COPR issued on or before March 18, 2020 and expired in August 2020 saying they have extended my medical validity up to January 31, 2020.

I have to reply within 10 days and beside basic Information they are asking

1 APPROXIMATE DATE / WEEK I would like to travel.
2 WHAT COULD BE MY TRAVEL ITINERARY

What to do with this, should I book the flight tickets and accommodation and send them.

I will appreciate your response
Thanks

Just provide your proposed travel plan and quarantine plan. Make sure of checking and mentioning direct flights if you can. It is not recommended book anything without getting the confirmation from NDVO regarding AL or re-stamping for CoPR extension. Good luck!

Hello everyone,

Can please someone clarify the current situation with CORPs generally? It's really impossible to read almost 800 pages...

People who have it received before 18th March - it's all clear - they have to say when they're ready
What about others? Are other people being even issued CORPs now (after March 18)?
On one hand, some of 'other people' may have an immediate family member and therefore can go. All others (majority) cannot.

Also, It's unclear for me who is considered by Canadian authorities as 'permanent resident'. Are CORP holders considered permanent residents. Logically, they should... Or only PR card holders are real permanent residents?

Just curious. My PR application is still in process, 6 months havent passed. But my friend from New Zealand filled PR application in February 2020 and is still in process as well, no CORP yet.

Others have been issued new COPRs many of them don't have family members in Canada. This has caused more issues because the expiry dates vary from December to the middle of next year, some will be expiring soon. Those who have been issued COPRs after March 18th don't have permission to travel.

You do not become a Permanent Resident until you land in Canada and show your COPR to the Immigration Officials.

NDVO is not going to issue you specific IMME letter. Go ahead with your medicals. I completed the very next day; uploaded the same using webform and received the response in the mid of third week. Meanwhile, two weeks later from the day I did medicals, I raised another webform submitting the information along with emails to RROC team and Delhi immigration. Still, there is no update in my portal regarding the new medicals being passed. I guess NDVO works differently.
I have booked the appointment for medicals. Just let me know if you get the PPR mail. You know what day is it after 2 days!

Thanks for your comforting words and it means a lot. Yeah I received my COPR and visa on Oct 27th and I asked for a visa extension then only they asked me to submit my PP and visa docs to Canadian embassy again as mentioned in the letter which I posted above. I have already returned my PP and COPR docs and now waiting for my PP back. Yeah I’ll ask for the access from my agent. Thank u once again. God bless!
Hello!

Did you receive the PP and new extended COPR? Hope everything went fine...

Hi guys

My Copr expired 5 September, I raised 2 Web forms ready to travel and now I can see it was extended to 31 January. Visa office Ottawa.

Besides this do we need to wait for other documents such as Al? Passports no need to be submitted?

Thanks.
All you need is the Authorization Letter and to make sure that the online information on your profile is updated. Other than that nothing else.
congrats and God bless you in your travels.
P.s what did you apply under? Express entry? sponsorship?

Hi guys, seems like I finally received the 4-pt letter tho not 4 points actually after sending countless webforms. Can some help to understand how long it took for IRCC to 'process' AL? in the email it said 'we will endeavour to respond within 4 weeks'...... Lol...

My timeline Fyi:
COPR Feb 24
Expired Aug 20
Med expired Sep 30
In this letter, it said Med extended to Jan 31

Below email from IRCC:
Dear client,

Our records at Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) indicate that:

  • Your permanent residence application was approved.
  • The date of issue on the confirmation of permanent residence (CoPR) document that was sent to you (and your family members, if applicable) is on or before March 18, 2020.
  • You (and your family members, if applicable) have not used your CoPR to enter Canada.
  • The validity date on your CoPR (i.e. the date by which you needed to travel to Canada) has passed and your document has therefore expired.
  • Based on your specific case details and as an exceptional response to COVID-19, IRCC was able to extend your medical exam validity; your medicals now expire on January 31, 2021.
IRCC wants to confirm that:
  • You still want to travel to Canada to become a new permanent resident; please note that IRCC is not asking you to purchase a plane ticket.
  • You are ready, willing, and able to travel before the current expiry date of your medical exams, in your case, January 31, 2021. This validity may not be further extended, without you re-doing all immigration medical exam(s) and covering the cost for them.
  • You are ready, willing, and able to travel to Canada on a valid passport by January 31, 2021.
  • There are no COVID-19 restrictions to prevent you from leaving your country.
  • There is a travel route with zero or one transfer that you can use to get to Canada and that is currently operating.
  • Your plan is to stay in Canada permanently.
  • You are able to arrange and cover the costs to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Canada.
If you fulfill all the conditions above, please reply to this email with the message below within 10 days and answer the questions below to help us better understand your situation.

Please respond to this email ONLY if you are sure that you could travel to Canada soon.

Please note that if new travel documents are issued to you, IRCC will send you a letter that will be valid for up to 60 days (but not exceeding your medical or passport validity), and it may not be possible for IRCC to issue you with another extension.

IRCC will endeavour to respond to you within four weeks.

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

This one, I have received too. I am bit of stuck what to do now, since I had raised RTT for March and here in India we are still working with official Notice period of 3 months to serve. So that's kind of impossible to travel in such a short duration.
