Most people want to leave Canada for the US, so its interesting to see that you are opting the great cold white north. Btw WHY ON EARTH IS IT SOO COLD IN ONTARIO in APRIL!!!

Ummm now is not the time to be rushing to the US. I'm glad I'm in Canada and aside from visiting and keeping an eye on my assets across the border, I have absolutely no intention of moving back any time soon.

I'm actually back in the US. It was set in motion before I knew the orange goblin would be back, sadly.

Tracker updated today to show Oath scheduled on June 16, 2025 . During my interview, the officer mentioned it will be an in-person oath in Kitchener, so I suppose that led to the long wait time.

I have not received the actual invite yet, but highly probable it is going to be in-person.

Not sure what exactly you mean there. I think IRCC is very nice when working on citizenship applications, and has more often than not, stuck to within their processing times, which in fact has gotten better. Maybe if its very cold, then officers are spending more time in-doors and working on applications. Or if its warmer officers work faster to enjoy more of the nicer weather. It would be interesting to see warmer weather vs. cold weather processing times. : D

I would not be able to fly with my wife and daughter to visit my grandma on Apr 19 though. I've kindly asked the oath office for an earlier date but this seem to be the best they have. I'll prob have to join them after completing the oath and then apply the passport abroad.

Mine was around 2 hrs. I would say the ceremony part took 20 min; a one-on-one check in with an ircc representative took a minute and the rest was waiting for everyone else to check in

Mine ran for 1.5 hours. I think it all depends on the size of the group.
