I called the fingerprinting office where I provided my fingerprints to check if they had received any updates from the RCMP. They confirmed that the RCMP completed my records check and sent the "no records found" report to the Vancouver office just four days after I gave my fingerprints which is pretty quick on the RCMP's end. It appears the delay is on the Vancouver office’s side, as they seem quite slow in processing background check reports once received. I have a friend who was in a similar situation, his background check turned green three weeks after he gave his fingerprints. So, if you were instructed by the Vancouver office to submit fingerprints and they’re the ones receiving the report, you can generally expect your tracker to update within 3 to 4 weeks after giving fingerprints. In general, applicants who are asked to provide fingerprints should anticipate an additional 3 to 4 weeks of processing time compared to those who weren’t.

Thank you for this additional understanding. Even I received FP request yesterday and I gave it today. It was sent by Vancouver office so there goes my application being stuck for another one month.

Hi - can anyone tell me how to check if the fingerprints has been received by the office that is requesting? When checking the google sheet, there are people who entered in the FP received date.

Nothing is happening. When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel?
You applied late January. Only two months have passed, during which time you've already passed the test?

It's going fine. Give it time. The estimate is currently 7-9 months. You'll be done before end of summer.
