Application for citizenship - a few questions

Hello folks, I am preparing my application for citizenship and hope to apply in the next few days. Curious about a few things and would love to be assisted in the following:
  • I had amended my name which is different from my landing document (name change reflects in the passport, have provincial name change document and temporary services card paper + provincial identification card acknowledgement paper - no physical cards yet as I am yet to receive them.)
    • 2 questions here: will the same name be considered for the application or will they go w/ the one in the landing document? should everything go well, will I have preference on the name printed on the passport?
  • Fingerprint request: I'd submitted my fingerprints for name change application, about 7 months ago. Will there be a request for the citizenship application too? I expect to be in India or a different place should this happen. Could I possibly leverage 3rd party services that are available in the respective cities? should i be looking at any specific accredited firms?
  • Citizenship test: again, the expectation here is I will be overseas when the request comes in should everything go well. could i take the test whilst outside Canada?
  • IELTS certification - my last test date was Aug 2017. will this be valid if i uploaded?
  • List all of your travel documents or passports covering your 5-year eligibility period - I've had different passports but from India + some short term visas of different countries. should I include all of them in this section?
Sincerely appreciate anyone who takes the time to clarify the above points for me.

1) You should make sure to apply with your current new name and indicate that it's been changed. They will use the one you use in the app if it matches the name change docs. (Which should also be one in your passport). I would suggest waiting until you get at least one of the provincial docs showing new names, primarily because of simplicity and they usually are setn fairly quickly (although yes the postal strike has slowed things down).

5) Travel documents means passports and things called travel documents (laissez-passer, a few other weird docs, refugee travel docs). Visas are not travel docs.

Thank you for your response. on point #1, they'd produced a temporary papers for both services card and provincial id card. would that be accepted? also, there's a mention of the name as it should be on the record of landing, COPR, PR Card. all of which has my old name, hence why i went with it.

on #5 - does PTRD include? it was issued once.

It perhaps would be. But my suggestion - see above - was to wait and get the proper one. It's up to you.

also, there's a mention of the name as it should be on the record of landing, COPR, PR Card. all of which has my old name, hence why i went with it.
I didn't understand any of what you wrote here. Perhaps specify not 'name as it should be' but old name and new name, because you changed your name.

And I don't know what you mean by 'hence why I went with it.'

I would include it because it has the name PR travel document. (Although technically they might mean something else, why risk it, given the name?)

Thank you, that clarifies a lot. What I meant with regards to my name is - on the personal info section, the first category they're asking for is to get the name as per the record of landing, COPR and last held PR card. All of which has my old name and then there's a separate section where there is a ask of if the name has changed since then. It's a race against time on point #1 but I've got a few more days before I submit my application.

Another question has come up here for the question: List all addresses inside and outside of Canada during your entire 5-year eligibility period:
  • should hotel stays include?
  • should there be gaps between dates as I was flying or no gaps allowed?

Along with the above - anyone secured PCC from Canada for India? I wonder how long it took them to secure the police clearance certificate.

Ok so in a bit of a situation now - PCC timeline seems to vary but at least it's taking about a good 30-60 days on avg.

I'd like to submit my citizenship application, worst case by Jan 09th as I will be leaving to India by Jan 10th for unavoidable reasons... which puts me at approx 1109 days.

Picturing the worst case scenario of NOT having PCC by then yet, I want to submit my application, I see that there's an explanation box in the event I am unable to produce PCC. Will an explanation help if I included documents such as application reference # etc saying the process has been started and it's just that I can't submit along with the application? Will anything else help in this situation?

You can submit the PCC application receipt you will get from BLS. Once you get it upload it via webform.

Thank you very much. Just so I am clear - I still choose "no" for PCC certificate availability, provide an explanation, then include the application receipt from BLS as an optional document?

Folks, a few more questions here please:
  • Language credentials - I have uploaded my IETLS test results from 2018 (which has now expired)... besides this certificate, is it mandatory to upload degree certificate(s) too?
  • List all addresses for the last 5 yrs - have tried to ensure there are no gaps but there have been times when I've left Canada on say, December 18 and landed India on Dec 20th. to ensure no gaps, should i mark that i have been residing in the Indian address since Dec 19th?
  • Checklist document: https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/citizen/cit0007e-2.pdf is this form necessary to upload in the optional document section?
  • On the document, it says upload all pages of your passport(s) you've held whereas on the online application, it asks only for the bio page. which one is appropriate?
  • Is the physical presence calculator mandatory to upload in the optional documents section?
