I'll also be literally NEET from Monday lol.
Technically speaking, a lot of people will be when they land. I am not confident I'll find anything before I get PR either- with any luck I'll be able to extend my current contract and drive from Windsor till I get a job in Canada lol. But then there is a difference between trying something and complaining 24/7 about immigrants and housing shit like a certain NEET here does

now we have another term exclusively for canadian land- NEET(s)

I'm in the USA now and will be here for the next 3 months. Quitting my job on Monday though :D

If I had known that they'd ask for this even before expiry, I'd have done my re-medicals upfront a long time ago
There were not likely going to extend again, and you need at least 3 months of validity on your medicals in order to get PPR, so yeah you should have anticipated :) . Get that medical done ASAP.

Well, at least, they didn't wait until April 20th to send this to me. I had mailed them a couple of weeks ago explicitly mentioning that I'd make sure to immigrate to Canada before April 20th if I get PPR + visa-stamp before that; it's a 2hr drive for me. Anyways, I just hope that there are slots available in my city soon. Last time around, I had to wait for 3 weeks to get an appointment.

I'm already in Canada and my spouse's medicals only expires at the end of May, but they still insist that he gets a re-medical. The way IRCC doesn't budge on rules/policy is annoying sometimes .

Start calling around. Good thing you'll be NEET by Monday so you have a lot of free time :D.

Here's a tip. Send a webform to the IRCC asking them to issue your PPR before expiry of current medicals and ask them if you can do an upfront medical if they can't issue PPR before medical expiry. I did this two weeks ago and got a reply from them yesterday where they said that my message has been forwarded to the immigration officials. One day later, I got the re-medical request.
