for a visitors arriving from India to Canada is it mandatory to buy a ticket with return dates or can we buy one way and book return ticket later after arrival.

Will there be a problem at boarding (India) or arrival (Canada) immigratiom points?

You need a return ticket before arrival.

Yes, you need a return ticket.

Most likely you will be refused boarding by the airline while still in India without a return ticket.

The one exception is if someone is traveling on a super visa. Otherwise a return ticket is needed or expect problems.

I wanted to buy a ticket from British airways for my wife and kids but in their travel restriction it says as below-

Thus can I buy I ticket for my family thru BA and will they let them board flight in India and at London ports?

Please advice also let me know if someone have recently travelled from India to Canada via british airlines. I called BA but they said to check with your embasy and so on ......this is getting streched.
