Visitor Visa Passport Submission & Return time

There was an emergency travel to another country which means we cannot send the passport within that time. They understood and extended the time to submit passport from 30 days to 60 days. You have the freedom and liberty to ignore and move on.

I think you have mis-understood me. I m not asking the timelines of submission of PP post approval notice, my question was once sending through courier how long will they take to stamp the visa on PP?

I presume you want to mail your passports. I had been to the LA center for my biometrics. They insist on sending passport via courier only post decision. You have to email them in that shipping label email asking them to generate the labels for you. ONce generated, you can mail them - I think with all documents mentioned in the decision letter. However, I have never done this given my situation above. You can also call them in the phone number that they have for appointment to put to an agent

I got response back today that the PP had been dispatched from Canada back to LA VFS. In the IRCC site, I can also see the new visa with the expiry date. I sent it last Tuesday, and they sent to Canada y'day. was issued today.

Please could you help!

I submitted my wife's visa application last week from India to come visit me in Canada on a visitor visa. I am a permanent resident in Canada, but the IRCC has refused the application saying the below:

"I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR)."

I am not sure why they refused the application when I attached the PR and my marriage certificate as well.

One thing to disclose, I wrongly put in the application the purpose of visit: To visit my spouse, common law partner, dependent child, parent, step-parent, guardian or tutor who is in Canada temporarily, such as an international student or temporary worker."

Instead of "To visit my spouse, common law partner, dependent child, parent, step-parent, guardian or tutor who is in Canadian Permanent Resident."

Do you think that could be the reason? Is there any way, I can appeal this decision and make sure they don't reject again? Or could there be any other reason why they rejected it?

I want to apply again but I also want to make sure that they don't reject it the second time. What do you suggest I should do?

So you mean it could take somewhere around 2 weeks.? But mine was submitted to NY VFS but no response yet? When will I get notification?

No idea if individual VFS have specific processing time. Once they sent to Canada IRCC office, looks like it is quite fast. I am getting the passport back today as they sent a notice that it is already on the way. You might hear back from them this week.

You will not get tracking updates until the VFS office actually sends your PP to Canada iRCC office. In my case, they sent it after a week on Wednesday. Last three days I got continuous updates. But there is no way to track it if it is still in the VFS center as far as I am aware

Any suggestions team?? We submitted passport to NY VFS and it was accepted by them on 15th Feb. Its almost 15 days now and we don’t have any updates yet. Can someone suggest what to do?? Concerned coz it is original passport and can’t take any risks ofcourse with it

Yup it seems NYC is taking lifetime to process. I haven’t still received any updates and today is what 12th day i guess (They recd passport on 15th Feb)
