Does citizenship test and/or oath ceremony require a valid passport

Hello

I have applied for the citizenship in August 2021 and now awaiting a test invite, background check etc....
At the time I applied my passport was still valid. My question is, do I need a valid passport now till I get the Canadian citizenship?

The reason I am asking is that to request a Lebanese passport now it requires 720$ and 4 months.

Do you have a driver's license? If you do, I think you won't need a valid passport for neither the test nor the oath. You can use your driver's license, PR card and health card for identifications

Thanks for your reply. I have a DL, PR and Healthcare card.

Would someone who has had an experience with this confirm that it is not needed so I rest assure that I do not need to rush and renew my passport?

I took my test and my oath with just my driver's license. any government issued ID does the job. It doesn't have to be your passport

So a passport is just for identification purpose but not a prerequisite for citizenship process. Any of those that you mentioned would be used instead. Right?
