From what I understood, they are processing applications from both portals equally. But since gckey has lot of backlogs they are still in Oct or Nov applications. And ircc is new and it doesn't have lot of backlogs. So they are able to clear it more smoothly. But applicants applying 2 or 3 times in different portals is actually making the time longer. IRCC doesn't have number of applicants as in gckey. 81 is the time taken for majority of applications they processed recently.
Ive applied in july 2021 with old gckey and still no update.

How did you come to that conclusion? Do we have data points from IRCC? I'm just asking out of curiousity if these predictions are based on small sample size data biases.
Hey why do you need to feel offended? I just said my opinion. I see people who are applying for PR or work permit have more patience and follow the processing times.
Some people who has urgency will definitely reapply I understand. I also have the same urgency, I am due on my pregnancy in May. I have applications of 6 members in total, where 3 of them approved. I have seen how gckey and ircc process applications. It is not like all applicants applied on Jan and Feb got decision. It all depends on your documents and how easily they are able to verify everything on the documents provided, also the processing officer.
They calculate processing time based on the current number of applications in the backlog, average number of applications they have processed recently and everything. If each applicant is reapplying in a month, just imagine it is doubing the number of applications.
It is a forum right, I can express my opinion. you can either take it or leave it.

it was a simple question as i was not able to find any data points, don't get riled up.

Hi everyone, I am applying for super visa for my father and have this quick question regarding the invitation letter.
Do I need to include copies of the documents in the invitation letter too? (examples, proof of my status - Canadian passport, proof of relationship, and proof of LICO requirement - NOA)?
I read about this guidance in some of the posts (and somewhere on the website too) but I was wondering if it is required as I will be uploading these supporting documents as individual files on IRCC portal as such.

Thank you!

Yes. You will only need your Canadian identity in terms of either passport copy, citizenship certificate

Hello Everybody,

I am applying visitor visa for my family. Even if I entered as they were retired from 2004, document page still has a slot for employer letter(current). When I expand for details it says a letter from employer in Canada. I reviewed my answers but confirmed never mentioned anything other than retirement. Anybody have any idea what I need to upload there?

Also every time when I try to add a member to the visa application group it says "Unknow error occured". Anybody ended up like me?
My father is working in Saudi Arabia. I am also getting the same request to upload. Any update on your side

Hi, I am working on my mothers visa (my father passed away few years ago) application. She has previously visited Canada twice and since her visa is now expired we are applying again.
would like to get your advice on 2 things:
  1. Proof of fund - she is a homemaker and I will be sponsoring her entire stay including paying for her tickets, insurance etc. She has no income and barely any fixed deposits so what can I show as proof of funds from her end? Would my bank statements & tax records be sufficient? Do I need to address this situation in detail in my invitation letter to the visa officer?
  2. Itinerary for her stay - She is basically coming to stay with me the main reason being her milestone bday and it’s been a while since I have met her. In this case do I have to make a fancy itinerary for her 6 months stay even though we have no such plans or can it be as simple as celebrating her bday and spending the summers with me
    please advice? Thanks in advance

Hi!
1) does she have house under her name? If so you can provide those documents to let officer know that she has property and for that reason she will have to go back. If not, then whatever documents you have you can support. Write in invitation letter about the situation and tell that you support her.

2) it is better to make itinerary. Such as month by month what you will do. Example, in month of July you will travel to east coast. I did that even though we did not travel.
