All I can say is that, my background was completed on 11 feb 2021 and had DM on 7 Jan 2022 and I thought IRCC will run another background check before I get any Oath date. Yesterday my status was updated and was invite to take the oath on Mar 24 ( still waiting for the email thought). One of my friend applied on Mar 2020 background completed on Jan 20, 2021 had DM on feb 2022 and also received his oath date last week for Mar 8 without them running a new background checks. If your wife did not receive a fingerprint maybe she is fine. This is just my experience as we all know how weird IRCC is.Hi All,
Please provide your inputs. Ours is a family app. My application is in DM status since December 15th 2021. My wife's moved to DM status on 12th Feb 2022. However her background was completed on 22nd Feb 2021.
Given that she is approaching 1 year with background check would IRCC redo the check or as the status is DM, that's not required?
Thanks a lot. I think that makes sense. For a family app, do you think i need to assume 4 months from now to get oath invite or from Dec 2021 as that's when my DM was updated. I know there are no answers here, but trying to get a sense....All I can say is that, my background was completed on 11 feb 2021 and had DM on 7 Jan 2022 and I thought IRCC will run another background check before I get any Oath date. It really depends on the office mine took 5 weeks ( family of 3) from DM to oath invite ( status update). My friend took less than a month ( single applicant) we are all in edmonton same office, others have been waiting up to 6 months.... There is no sense with IRCC.Thanks a lot. Thanks! Really appreciate your inputs. Gives o much confidence...My file is at Vancouver office, DM -oct 21, my oath ceremony went in progress back in early January but it never got updated on tracker and 2 days back got scheduled for oath mid March. So hang tight! Ircc is not updating the tracker in real time.
updatedA couple of updates on our application
- Decision Made - Feb 10, 2022,
- Language Skills Completed - Feb 9, 2022,
- Physical Presence Completed - Feb 9, 2022,
- Prohibitions Activity Completed - Feb 9, 2022,
- Citizenship Test Activity Completed - Dec 3, 2021
- Test is given on - Nov 20, 2021
I guess now it's the wait for the Citizenship ceremony invite. Unfortunately, there is no consistent gauge to measure or expect when we may be called for the ceremony.
The “decision made” status update is part of “old tracker” known popularly as “ecas” (link -https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=null)for the excel spreadsheet, what does mean "Decision Made date ecas estimate" column? if everything is completed only the citizenship ceremony not started, does it mean the decision made?
On my application, everything is completed on Jan 5, 2022. Only the Citizenship ceremony is not started.
People who apply after me or got the update after Jan 5 are getting oath ceremony.
Does anyone have the same situation as me?
thank youThe “decision made” status update is part of “old tracker” known popularly as “ecas” (link -https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=null)
The equivalent on new tracker will have everything set to “complete” except the oath ceremony “not started” to indicate it.
