It should be written in ur offer/support letter about the duration.

It is not written in the offer letter.
But expected duration of employment in the work permit application is given as 3 years.

As per my understanding you will get it for 2 years initially.

Hey , i got the passport back with Visa for 2 years.
I did not get any POE letter / approval letter.
Does it come in email ? or i have to check in my application portal?

Congrats for the stamping , you willget POE in application portal itself , name would be correspondence letter.

I am about to file for ICT Work Permit. However on the Canada website the processing time form India is showing as 50+ weeks. Even my company's immigration lawyer is mentioning it can take anything between 10 to 50 weeks. However as I can see in this conversation thread people are getting it in 8 to 12 weeks. Why is the main website still showing 50 weeks and whats the correct processing time? Thanks!

I got it in 45 weeks. I hope it does not take that longer for you. But make up your mind.

Yeah maybe coz you applied in early 2021 and at that time they were clearing backlog. According to latest posts in this forum it's taking 8-10 weeks who have applied since November.
