Dear All,

I applied for OINP and am currently in the Decision in Progress (DIP) stage which is the last stage. I got NOI on 27th October 2021 OINP Draw. The draw range was 456 to 467 while my score was 466 at the time. I am expecting a nomination anytime now.

My wife's IELTS expired in January 2022 and she appeared again. This time she scored higher and our CRS now stands at 468. which is beyond the range of OINP draw at the time. If I do not update her score, our CRS falls to 448. This is also out of range from our OINP draw. I read somewhere that IRCC checks any change in the CRS post NOI for PNP candidates and could get rejection if your score falls beyond the OINP draw range.

What is the true scenario? should I update my wife's score in the Express Entry profile or not?

Your documents needs to be valid at the time you submit. So I think there is no problems in this case.
But an update IELTS is required to be eligible for EE.

I think OP is fine even if they didn’t update the score. (To OP: but please do update since you took the exam already, so why not.) OP is the principal applicant, so spouse’s IELTS has no effect on eligibility. After OINP nomination they will have 1048 or 1068 CRS, which both will guarantee an EE ITA.

Line of logic:
Were you in range with valid documents when OINP NOI happened? — Yes
Were you in range with valid documents when submitting OINP? — Yes
Will you be eligible with enough CRS and valid documents when EE PNP ITA happens? — Yes
Will you be eligible with enough CRS and valid documents when EE AOR happens? — Yes
Nothing to worry about then.
