Oath Ceremony is required for 14 years Kid ?

Hi All

I applied Canadian Citizenship for my family in Aug 2019 from Ontario and currently I am waiting for Oath Ceremony from Sep 2021 . My son is 14 yrs old and we need to update his passport and I am not sure when we will get oath ceremony request.

Would you please provide answers to the below questions that would be really helpful

1. Do we need my son's passport during Oath Ceremony ?
2. Oath Ceremony is Mandatory for my son who is 14 years old ?
3. Any idea how many months it will take to get oath ceremony in GTA ?

If he doesn’t have to travel he doesn’t need an updated passport. If you are renewing his passport for the purpose of the oath, it is not necessary.

can use OHIP or PR card, any other valid Canadian ID

Thanks alot for sharing the info . I just want to keep his passport up-to-date..no travel as of now.. not sure when the oath will come .. hope for the best
