August 2020 - Citizenship application

My in laws citizenship oath is completed on Dec. 29. It was about an hour long. They said, the citizenship certificate will be received within 2 to 4 weeks.
Everything went well. Thanks all for your help in this matter.

My inlaws citizenship certificate came within a week after the oath i.e Dec/29, 2021 and then they applied for their passport end of Jan and it came within a week too.
The whole process took 17 month, although the they received the application in Aug/2020 but they started processing/open their file in Dec, 2020 so technically it took about 1 year. Thanks everyone who helped in this forum. Good luck!

Update on my application everything updated to completed except oath. `decision made on the old tracker on January 25th 2022... how long does it take from here to get invited for oath .. anyone here in the same timeline as me?

Anywhere between 2-6 months on an average, Since you are Vancouver, its probably on the earlier side.

But i have not received any email about Oath ceremony. How long do you think this will take ?

Congrats, nobody can say when you will he scheduled for the oath, depends on availability of slots at your LVO. For some people it took 2 days for some it took 3-5 months, nobody here can take a guess when it comes to this.

(Lasted about 1.5 hour),

all was easy and smooth, you just need 2 pieces of ID (you can include PR Card as one),
You cut the PR card soon after screening and introductions and before going to the judge.

The Mississauga office proclaimed to have been scheduling 60 people for oath each session, 3 sessions a day, 6 days a week. So basically 180 ppl a day, and 6 days a week - 1080 ppl a week,

140,000 people had their ceremony in 2021 according to their stats.

So they are working, even though it doesn’t look like, and even though it sounds like I am assuring because I am done with it.

it is just the wait of one fine day when you open the tracker and see a date for yourself.
Could be this Monday, Wednesday or anytime soon after.

but we will get there…

If I were you, would send them a CSE with the new colored passport scanned copy of all pages. No harm and should not contribute towards any delay either.
