Anybody who has attended the Oath Ceremony (@Anjushka)
Please simplify the steps for the ceremony,

I read the 10 page email, and it appears like a very long process, it says 2.5 hours as the duration.

how much time does it actually take?
If there are 2 or more people for oath, same family, then do they need to be on separate devices? Or can sit together? (Same time).

Thank you.

It took 1hr 20mins for me, it was pretty straightforward. We joined the meeting, an official explained what we need, breakoutroom. Then got transferred 1x1 with an officer who verified docs, cut PR card, transferred back to main room, judge came - oath - national anthem - clerk asked to take selfie with judge, explained about Returning oath form - Done.

Your entire family can sit together if they want, they encourage both applicants to sit together. Change ur name to both your seat #s.

Good luck

That’s a relief.
Sounds less complicated and lasted half the duration.

I will take that.
Thank you for your input.

Sorry,
One more question,
The documents I should be carrying on me should be 2 pieces of ID only?
Health Card / DL or PR card is fine?

or I am also supposed to carry the COPR or record of landing?

thank you.

Your PR card and DL/Health Card is sufficient.

The officer did not ask for my Copr but I heard some people did get asked for it.

The email says it is required for people who became PR before 2002,
That should be the case, same with record of landing.

Finally they are doing something!!!!!

Please read the highlighted text and comment: Source https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...c-recovery-and-improve-client-experience.html

For citizenship applicants, IRCC has introduced online testing, developed an online application tracker and launched virtual citizenship ceremonies. Over the last few months, we have hosted approximately 350 virtual ceremonies per month, and more than 170,000 new Canadians have been sworn in since April 1, 2020. We are continuing to expand the use of virtual ceremonies. Moving forward, we are exploring an option for those who wish to self-administer their Oath by signed attestation, and celebrate their citizenship at a later date. This would shorten the waiting time for those at the final stage of their citizenship process.

how do we track the passport application? is there any way? or I just need to wait for the passport to come to my mail?. Maybe I can check my credit card balance every day to see if I been charged.
