October 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hello All -
I have completed my Oath this Monday (Jan 24th)...Does anyone how long it would take to get the Citizenship certificate? I'm planning to go to US next month, Will I get my passport in a week after I get my citizenship certificate?

If anyone has information on this, please advise!

still citizenship status like prohibition/ language/ presence/ oath/ are in progress. Citizenship Test and background verification is in Completed status.
I am outside of Canada and can’t travel back to canada now so I have already applied for PR travel document last week and also received acknowledgment.
My question is not sure when will I receive PRTD successfully and can I ask for gcms notes for my citizenship application ?
How to apply for GCMS notes for my citizenship application?
Any advice what to do now ? Frustrating about waiting for oath !

Getting GCMS noted takes around a month or more. Further being a PR u can itself order AITP request for your notes.

Almost there! I have not received a notification of Application Approval but all statuses are now listed as completed!

How long to you think it will take to get approval and to be scheduled for the Oath.

PRTD does not take long to issue. I got my son's in about 2-3 weeks

Hi, I completed the test on November 7th

I guess the next step is that we get a notification of our acceptance of the application and then we wait for the oath ceremony?

Any idea how long those take after everything has been marker as completed (Jan 28th)?

You will have to apply to get a passport after you get your certificate. You do not get a passport automatically.

A ghost update means there will soon be some kind of update. When did you apply for gcms? I had applied end of Nov. and have yet not received it.

I apply every month. Andfrom my experience nowadays it takes longer than a month.

It's now been 3 weeks for me since DM and have heard nothing. Isn't it amazing that they say DM without just being able to tell you WHICH decision was made?
