Suggestion from community
My passport expiry date is 20 June 2022, Is this a reason that delay my PPR?

TO be on safe side I applied for fresh passport today.

I want a suggestion from the community should I contact ircc through MP to know the reason behind the delay in my PPR?

Your suggestions will be valuable for me.
Thank you.

What delay? Your file is moving far faster than many others. Not even two weeks has passed since you saw decision made. It can take a while.

Sure, contact your MP about the 'delay' - they'll think you're mad.

I'd actually suggest you don't - if submitted by webform it may take a few weeks for them to get around to it, delaying your other next steps (it seems they will delay steps if there is pending correspondence). There's not actually much they can/will do with it except add the info to your file.

When your passport request comes, you'll submit the new one anyway and you can just include a short note that it was just renewed because short-dated. It's a pretty routine thing.

(Note for most cases I'd say best to update - i.e. earlier in the process - but in your case PPR could be quite soon).

Just my opinion.

Thank you.

It looks like they are clearing those who applied well before you, late 2020 and early 2021 applicants. 2 weeks isn't a "delay" now.
