What CIC Portal "Link" options are available for Refugee Claimant?

A refugee claimant who has recently crossed irregular crossing was given an eligibility interview time in future which I gathered means their screening is not done yet but security check is done or vice versa. This person recently did their medical exam in Canada.

When they login to CIC they get these five options. But trying different options in these categories and using UCI and Application numbers or given name did not find any applications to link.

So my question is:
At what point would there be something for a refugee claimant to see on their CIC portal? This can be Interim Federal Health, Medical exam, eligibility interview, refugee claim or anything else available to them to see some progress?

Thanks,

I was told refugee claimants at border cannot check the progress or link their application in the portal. I claimed asylum through regular border crossing and my situation is same, cant seem to find my application using UCI or name

You cannot link or see the status of a refugee claim. After applying for PR or other programs you can. It doesn’t matter if you claimed asylum at border or claimed asylum later. You cannot link a refugee claim

This is correct, you cannot link and trace real timeline as a claimant. It’ll give you roughly procesing time.

Thanks,
IRB is in the last stage of Phase 3 whereas refugee claimant can link and see real timeline of their refugee claim application. IRB completed phase 2 that allow easy interaction with the counsel. So, at the moment you cant link application that is with IRB to yout IRCC. I keep my eyes on the progress of this new project as well…

Thanks, for your input.

1- When you claimed asylum at regular border (assuming through family connection) did you have to wait in US to make an appointment with CBSA or simply grabbed your documents and went to border without appointment?

2- Also, did they fully process your refugee claim at border or they give you an "eligibility interview" date some 5 months later to go to?

1. Did not take any appointment, directly went to border.

2. Fully processed no eligibility interview was done. Inwas given refugee claimant document and referred to IRB

1- Where can they link and see? Using what category for phase 3? and is this on CIC portal site?
2- IRB phase 2 allow easy interaction with counsel is what? a separate portal for lawyers and not for individuals? what is the website?

Wow to #2. This info is not readily available through the organizations that help on both sides of the border.

A- What year was your border crossing? If very long ago then maybe there was no queue back then.
B- Does refugee claimant document have an IMM number at the bottom of it? What is it?
C- Was yours a family (like uncle, aunt, etc...)? And if yes, was that the ONLY thing they required to ask of you? or wanted to hear a reason for asylum or something else you had to say to complete the requirement?
D- If a regular asylum seeker has ID documents for family (uncle, aunt, etc...) would border agent still need to call the family and ask questions or that suffices?

*Regular border crossing has a risk of return. Or at least perceived as that way when one starts reading. But for those with family maybe that is the better way than irregular crossing.

Thanks.

1. This can be found via irb website and not CIC Portal. However,My case portal will require you create a Gckey account for the first time user. They moved pretty fast i guess and below is an update
https://irb.gc.ca/en/legal-policy/procedures/Pages/my-case-portal-registration-submission-documents.aspx

2. This was for the counsel and IRB, not Applicant and IRB

A counsel must be a licensed lawyer or licensed immigration consultant or anyone can act as a counsel for obtaining an account?

Licensed one... Not anyone can act as a legal counsel
Thanks again.

A- Can BoC be filed online somewhere by user? And if not, can it be filed online by counsel through those Phase 2 or Phase 3 or IRB?
B- Are you a lawyer? if not, how to vet a *good lawyer that accepts legal aid? (or the two are not possible).

A. Im not familiar with the current changes due to covid protocols. But you can submit BOC paper-based to the regional office, by fax if your BOC is less than 20pages, courier or electronically by secured e-Post. If you do so, make sure you have original copy with you. Counsel can do this on your behalf on Phase 3 My Case project

B. No. Im not licensed Immigration lawyer, and i dont know good one in your Region. I believe you are in GTA, I'm in Vancouver.

A. December 7, 2021
B. IMM 14428
C.Just want to know if you have a eligible family member for me it was my father. No question asked about why i am seeking asylum.
D. They usually prefer the family member to come to border to receive you if possible if not then they will talk on phone.

For regular border crossing you have to have the exception of safe third country
