Hi guys. Could you please give me some advice?
I was scheduled for the citizenship ceremony on Jan 27th. But I have an urgent outside country travel scheduled on Feb 25th.

if I attend the ceremony , there’s chance that I don’t have enough time to get the passport ( considering only 4 weeks time frame, the only thing worries me is the certificate, cause I can pay extra for the next-day passport )

if I postpone the ceremony, there’s chance that longer wait time (some people say up to 6month to one year) and the background check back to “in process “ again.

Any one please give some thoughts on how should I manage this situation?

It is possible to request expedited citizenship certificate, and you might be able to receive it very quickly after your ceremony. Just be ready to present proof during your oath that you'd need it urgently.

Otherwise, if your country allows for dual citizenship, and you don't have to renounce to your original passport, you could always travel and apply for a new passport abroad, but this should be a last option kind of thing as it can get quite complicated.

But I am currently waiting for DM, not Oath date

Hi everyone, I got interview request 4 months after my test,did anyone here have the interview?Do you know how is it and why may be requested even though they asked for passport copies separately?I am also wondering if I can have the online interview while I am outside the country,I didn't see anywhere mentioning about if we are outside the country for the interview unlike for the test or oath.

who would have thought we would be waiting for almost 2 years for this. I still cant believe it. I hope we all get this passport this year.
