Correct me if I am wrong so the new processing time for fsw will be 36 months am I right? So if I am a sep 2020 applicant expect a pr in 2023 sep.
You are wrong. Your application is already at an advanced stage and should be finalised soon. From what I gather in the memo, whatever is still in the backlog should land in 2022.

The 36 month timeline will only apply to new applications that will be submitted when draws kick off again.

What ever happens I doubt whether that will happen because cec is jts baby.i am not joking. I am serious.
CEC might as well be dead. The earliest they are going to do a draw is February and any ITA will only be able to land in 2023 at the earliest since they say backlog is currently more than sufficient to meet the target for 2022.

Wait so you are telling they are okay with allowing 1000s of CEC to leave the country, who are already doing the job.
That will create severe labour shortage.

CEC is far safer bet for IRCC then FSW. CEC already contributing to economy, on other side FSW will be initially burden to economy as they will happily accept all the grants.

Reduced doesn’t mean dead so yeah. Also, the increased time is expected, since the time in an app only registers once it’s completed and almost all FSW applications are already 12 months+ now, and all these late applications will count towards this year. Also, it’s interesting that they requested extension on pause on draws until end of January. I still expect draws February, though it might be CEC.
Lets not forget the Mandate letters want to reduce pricessing delays and IRCC laready got 85 million for that. To my eyes, I only see FSW, citizenship, PNP, and spousal sponsorships with huge processing delays.

I am post-AOR and PNP so 'possibly' safe, but this leaked memo just makes my blood boil :mad:!!!! IRCC is admitting to causing the huge backlog we see now, due to their stupidity in inviting 25,000 CEC 75ers in one go, and accepting way too many TR2PR applications due to a glitch in their archaic system.

Innocent people who have dedicated their time, money (and God knows what other sacrifices) just to be able to get good enough CRS score, now have to pay the ultimate price for IRCC's foolishness. Where is the fairness??

When will life be fair for people unfortunate enough to be born in a third world country??? :(:(:(
