I agree with you. People can be successful in any profession. I can tell you there are plumbers / electricians in Canada making much more money than IT folks. Plus they can write off many expenses and hence save on taxes also. They are able to write off their cars as business expense as they use it to go their client's house. There is no one formula of success.

My point was that most social media "influencers" / youtubers deliberately show rosy projections / numbers and make it sound like making money in Canada is very easy. I know of people who have gone in to depression after coming here when they realized that those fancy cars they saw on IG come with hefty EMIs etc. I'm not saying everyone is that naïve but there is a sizeable number of people who just underestimate the kind of toll it takes mentally when you move to a new country. Move over to the Settlement Issues part of this forum and I saw a post from someone who was upset on the fact that bank only gave him 1K limit on credit card and how it is not enough. There are a lot of minor things that will hit someone coming over day in and day out.

While I disagree with many of the posts which paint excessively dark picture of Canada on this forum but if I have to be honest I would say it is better to know that picture before coming here rather than thinking life is going to be fairy tale. Success in life may mean different things for different people but if someone is coming with a dream of "lots of money in short amount of time" as success metric to Canada they are more likely to be disappointed.
Believe me it is difficult in every country - you have to work hard :) unless you have tons of money and you have people working for you :D

I’ve already seen 3 fresh PPRs in the last 15mins. They are truly back. Wishing those waiting the best of luck. Unfortunately I don’t expect draws to happen anytime soon

Two and a half years back, these houses were selling below 400K.

And no, you cannot "somehow" understand why they are selling like that. Even those living there do not understand that.
100% agree! In 2019 my husband wanted to buy a 4-bed/4-bath house with basement in Regina (he was just visiting Canada on holiday) advertised for $325k. Of course he couldn't cos we didn't have all that in cash. we moved to Regina in 2020 and similar houses in the same neighbourhood is now going for 650k minimum.

And that's in SASKATCHEWAN.

My sister lives in Ottawa. They bought their current home (4 bedroom house) in 2015 for 250k or some ridiculous price like that. They are now wanting to move to Toronto and their house is on market now for $850k but guess what, it's not enough to buy a similar sized house in Toronto. They need at least $1mil.

Taking extra 250k $ mortgage is not much ;)

Thats why I said, it could be a mutation too. Rest, god only knows.
Autism can occur as result of genetic mutations, environmental factors or plain fluke. It's also more common in boys. Trust me, most of us adults walking around are somewhere on the spectrum, it's just that testing wasn't so common way back when and as humans we adapt and compensate and grow into functional adults.

I bet your little guy will be fine, especially being in a country where attention and support is provided. I've met quite a few boys on the spectrum who are downright geniuses :) .
