Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress

Seems strange, I would suggest to give them a call to clarify.

I tried to call them but of no use.

However, adding brief description- I did my oath yesterday with Niagara Falls office(virtual) but when I checked my tracker, it says "prohibitions form sent" on Dec 20, 2021 but all I received on Dec 20 was oath invite for Jan 4, 2022. Has anyone seen this and when does oath status goes to complete on tracker?

My prohibitions status says completed. Hope it is just a stupid glitch in their tracker.

Yes, that means they sent you the Oath invite on that date... I have this on my tracker.

Congrats to everyone who got received oath invites recently hope it was a good start of the year for all
I finally received a "proper" response to my webform inquiry from november concerning the supplementary travel evidence request I received a few months ago. On the webform I said I wanted to clarify the request for evidence, particularly the part about entry records for hong kong (which I have never visited). I attached the PDF request I received so they could see the exact wording they used themselves.

They replied
"We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document:

• CIT0520E Request for Supplementary Evidence -"

I'm so confused hahaha. Like, are you sincerely just telling me that you added to my file a document that originated from IRCC??

"Rest assured, the document will be added on file within 2 business days."
No, I dont rest assured... that's the whole point hehe.

At the same time, my MP called IRCC, they only told him that the citizenship test had been completed and no oath ceremony was scheduled for me at this point. obviously, I already know all of this information.

So useless....

hope others get better news soon!

My oath is successfully completed on 21 Dec.
Citizenship Certificate issued and dispatched on : 6th Jan. 2021
Citizenship certifcate receives : 11 Jan.

When I went to passport office for urgent passport(for travel pueporse), they checked and said my citizenship certificate is not updated/validated in the system. So I cannot apply for the passport.

I also spoke with CIC today 12th Jan., they said they will look into it.

What does it mean?
Is it normal? Do I need to do anything?
When I will be good to apply for the passport?

I am in super urgent to travel to the US for school.


Any help apprecaited. Thank you

Oh no! Did you manage to log in?

Yes .. I needed to put 0(zero) in front of the passcode provided. CIC provided passcode was 5 digit ( suppose to be zero 0 in front of 5 digit provided.. so total suppose to be 6 digit)

Sorry, didnt understood your reply, can you please explain.. what do u mean by "only when you ..." ??

I found out the date of dispatch by calling CIC and waiting on the telephone line.. its cruelsome process..

i'm going to order my GCMS notes. Does anybody know if there is any advantage or difference in applying yourself or is it better to go with any of the immigration consultant firms?

I did myself. And I don’t think there is any advantage either way. Immigration consultant are a good choice if you are unsure of what to do, or if your application is not standard, in my opinion. Other than that,I don’t see any reason to pay for something we can do ourselves.
