AINP Application In Progress | Federal EE near Expiry

I have submitted my AINP application through Alberta Express Entry Stream on 30th November 2021. The application status is currently in the "Submitted" state. My Express Entry profile expires on 20th January 2022. Possible outcomes are -
1. Getting a nomination before EE profile expires. In this case, is there a way to carry forward the nomination to a new profile?
2. EE profile expires before receiving a nomination. Any workarounds?

Would appreciate it if someone who has experienced or has knowledge about this scenario could share your thoughts!

So you haven’t received an AINP nomination just submitted an application, correct? The program has reached its quota for this year so a draw may or may not happen in January. You need an eligible profile to receive a nomination. It is on the website that you can’t extend a nomination. Also it states,

Factors that decrease your chances
If you meet one or more of the following factors, this may decrease your likelihood of receiving a Notification of Interest letter:

  • your Express Entry profile expires in 5 months or less

@Naturgrl Thanks for the response. The "Factors that decrease your chances" section that you posted is for the NOI which I have already received. Could you point me to the page that talks about extending the nomination?
