Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

I might b wrong but I think mississauga processes applications for Peel and Halton region as well. Hence one of the most busiest offices

could be a reason. and I bet number of applicants would be highest from these regions as well as most fav destination for newcomers.

But if any of that is true then why not put more resources too

I feel like they might be sending oath invites for all those who completed citizenship test in July. I think I saw few applicants whose DM was in September but test was completed in July.

ummm not sure. there are many reporting that they had DMs for more than 6 months now. certainly cant blame if such ppl moan then

Had my Oath Ceramony earlier this week. There were only 19 applicants taking oath. Some insights shared during the ceremony: Mississauga location gave oath to ~3000 applicants in November 2021. Apparently pre-covid they use to give oath to ~240 applicants every single day. Covid has really slowed things down.

just 19 . thats a shocker. howcome 21 dropped out last minute (assuming each session is of 40).
could have given other oath ready files a go ahead instead. insane to think all the absentees just didnt choose to show up last minute.com

More than 4 months of DM and test completed in May - so not sure if that statement is correct..

Ohh, then my assumption is incorrect. I guess only IRCC knows how they are processing apps these days. I feel like all of our assumptions, guesses & hopes are in vain here.

Got Oath scheduled on January 8th

Guys I have a good news , after 3 years of waiting finally I got (Decision made ) and everything completed.


last month I contacted a lawyer and she sent a demand letter to IRCC Mississauga.


Now I am waiting for my Citizenship ceremony

Received my Citizenship Certificate Yesterday in my Regular Mail in Hamilton.
Citizenship application Date 09 Sept 2020
Test Done June 28 2021
Decision Made Sep 29 2021
Oath Done Virtual Mississauga Dec-09 2021
Certificate received Dec 23 2021
Apply for passport IN person at Mississauga office Walk In on Dec 24 2021
passport will be mailed to my home address on Jan 12 2022.
