My AOR was Dec 15, 2019. I received remedical request on Nov 11, 2021 and today it shows medical has passed. I hope the result will come soon. Would like to hear from others if they have the same situation?
Hey thanks for sharing your timeline. When did you get your meds done?

Dear @legalfalcon , I am planning to add my partner to my application as we have managed to gather enough paperwork to prove our common-law relationship. I wonder whether it is an obligation for me to tell IRCC about this domestic relationship when we have lived together for one year or more? Additionally, I also would like to know if I have to fill the form IMM 5409 and get it notarized? Thank you in advance?

As per Section 16(1) the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states:
  • 16 (1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

If you have been in a CL relationship, you have an obligation to disclose it and add your CL partner to your applications. If this is later discovered, that you were in a CL and did not disclose it, that is a misrepresentation. However, CL is shy of being married and how you see your relationship is entirely to you. This is more of an issue in sponsorship cases.

You can read more on this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/non-economic-classes/family-class-determining-spouse/assessing-common.html

IMM 5409 has to be attested by a notary, commissioner for oaths.

Thank you so much for your reply. I also have one more question: as I have a concurrent Study Permit application in the meantime, so if I add my partner to my PR application, should I also update my Study Permit application about this as well?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I was planning to go for upfront medicals for my child, but all slots in the medical center seem to be fully booked till end of December. Hence I was thinking whether I can send the documents prepared for adding the child via webform right now, and then send in another webform later with the acknowledgement slip showing that my child has completed medicals once it is done.

Reason for this is that I had written to IRCC on 13th Oct'21 informing them of completion of remedicals (pending Xray test completed) for my wife ( post delivery) and informing them (for the second time) regarding the birth of my child. I also asked them to send the documents required for child addition. IRCC replied on 22nd Oct'21 stating " We verified the information you provided and have forwarded them to the responsible office. They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.". I did not find any document list given.

Hence I had requested @legalfalcon for help regarding procedure to add new born, which he guided me on. As its been a long time since I sent the last webform, and end of Dec'21 seems like a long time away, I do not want IRCC to think I am not taking suitable actions from my end towards procedure of child addition. On the other hand, I also want to go for the option which minimises my waiting time post document submission. Hence was asking for advise on this issue. Apologies for the long post. Would appreciate your advise @legalfalcon and others..

I do not know if others also have the same issue but for last couple of days I am not able to sign in to my ircc account. It keeps on showing this error. I tried everything like clear up cookies, incognito mode. Nothing is working.

@legalfalcon I want to add my recently born child ( 3 months old) into the PR application and as advised by you got the forms ready for the same. Do we need to do the medicals for the 3 months old child as well and then send the webform with complete documents, or we need to wait for ircc to add the child into the application and wait for them to guide us on when we should go for medicals for the child. Your reply is greatly appreciated.
You can do the upfront medicals now. All individuals, irrespective of age have to provide go through an immigration medical examination.

To save time, get an upfront medical examination now and submit the upfront medicals with other documents.

YEs, you should. However, the change of family composition will not matter for your TRV as such, but should be updated.

Same here. Tried what you did and same result even with three different browsers!
