Hi,

I sincerely appreciate your time and effort. I would like to get your thought on my case

we are living together since aug 2020 and had individual bank accounts.

After marriage May 2021, we got a joint account and hydro account in my name
(before I was the only account holder for hydro and phones)
-after getting a driving license in Feb 2021, We have common vehicle insurance as well
-have a rental agreement since Aug 2020 (before the wedding)
-have a letter where he has listed a beneficiary under my work benefits after the wedding.

Along with these proofs(vehicle insurance, rental agreement, and beneficiary coverage,)
Is beneficial to add each person's bank sttaements to the same address before marriage happened to prove longer cohabitation

Thank you
Because you're married you don't need to stress about proofs of cohabitation pre marriage. If you have them great if not, no worries. People who don't live together before marriage don't have those proofs and get approved.

I only partially agree with this (at least "don't stress" about these proofs).

These proofs of cohabitation are very helpful for cases of married couples - but instead of being the required proof to establish the legal basis of the relationship (as with a common law application), now they are strong supportive evidence that the relationship is bona fide.

They can certainly make the evaluation of the relationship documentation much easier (and hence possibly quicker) for the IRCC officer. So it is very helpful to include.

Small note though: since it is now relationship evidence, it is less of an issue if some is left out - or more simply, "choose the best and leave the rest", and don't worry about specific things.

That was what I was trying to convey, thanks for saying it more eloquently @armoured!

You guys are amazing!!!!! I will definitely include them as you are saying it will serve as relationship evidence. Since we met online in the first place and was worried if our case is strong enough!

Thank you so much for your help!

Obviously I don't know specifics of your relationship but more than a year of living together before marriage would usually make the question of genuine marriage a no-brainer.
