Yes... dont let them know there is a chip shortage... otherwise they will tell us they are unable to upgrade their IT and computer infrastructure to process applications properly, in a way that mysteriously only affects older applications. hehe

I was reading the instructions for the ceremony and remembered of you when I read this: “inform the IRCC official if you require your citizenship certificate sooner than 2 to 4 weeks to apply for a passport urgently.”
They might be able to help you get yours quickly.

How to inform the IRCC official ? Like When we are taking an oath or after that ? ANy email address or any contact details? Pls. share I am in the same boat .. and the same local office.. Edmonton..

It’s all in the notice to appear, more than once I just noticed: “If you plan on travelling soon and meet requirements, let us know during registration and we will work with you to provide your certificate sooner.”

The email comes from your CIC office, and we are not allowed to share details of the interview. The only thing I can say is, have all the documents you submitted with your application and relax. It’s not anything complicated.

Finally good news! I received on November 26th an update that my oath ceremony will happen on December 14th.
Thank you to everyone in this group for all the help. I waited since August 17th for an update and finally, after over 3 months!

Congrats. After seeing some posts on dm and oath for 2021 candidates, i thought that they abondoned 2019 and 2020 but looks like not all DM and oath going to 2021 candidates .

Congratulations! I am waiting since Aug 18th (Vancouver Office) for the oath invitation. I hope I will be next in line if they are sending invitations by dates..

Today all the sections in our citizenship tracker were updated to Completed (apart from the citizenship ceremony which is not started), and Decision Made shows in the ecas system. Ottawa office. Admin, please update the Excel table. Thanks so much!

You have enough time. Wait for the oath ceremony and during the oath the officer will ask you if you need it urgently you can then tell them you travelling in a month. They will ask you to show them your ticket as a proof. I did that and got mine within 2 days

It is best not to contact them before your oath as they might postpone your oath and surprise you with that just like it happend to an applicant.

No need to email. You will let them know during registration.
