Nothing? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries Select Europe then sort by daily deaths. Russia and Ukraine have many but for "Europe", Romania is #1 with 286. Then Germany, UK, Hungary have 172, 145, 116, the rest is below 70. This is nothing and won't crash hospitals. Canada gets all its hospitals crashed with just 200 deaths / day though, so Canada can't be a benchmark.
Deaths are late effects of rise in cases. They come many weeks AFTER the rise in cases. With better treatments, it will come even later. Its the cases and hospitalisation that is the problem. Its the strain on health care system that is the reason why lockdown becomes a necessity.

I mean, in March 2020 - May 2020, deaths in Canada were highest because we did not know how to deal with virus. The same peak was never repeated in 2021 AFTER Jan but we entered in lockdowns and border closures later.

If India gets a new wave (lord forbid, I have all my family there), its travel restriction time once more.

Yeah and I'm saying 60 deaths / day means hospitals are working fine and most people are lightly affected (probably self treated at home). Do you see any flu crashing hospitals? People believe what they want to believe but we're doing fine in europe since the summer. Not sure about Canada.

If the cases keep on going, it can push deaths and hospitalizations further. Germany, UK, Italy, France have ongoing spikes.

There are several European countries with low vaccination rate (~60-70%). Restrictions are being imposed in those countries again because infections are rising. Relatively low death rate but winter is just around the corner.. Booster shot seems to be a must when dealing with delta.

True; and despite the spikes, max daily deaths today among those countries is Germany with 172. What I'm trying to say is vaccines did work well and covid is a flu now if you're vaccinated. Canada was a spectacular dumbass with its overkill reactions; yeah they could go full dumbass again but I'm saying life goes on in europe.

Yep. People will get booster shots and we'll move on. Canada's stupid restrictions haven't been seen in europe and won't be either. Life goes on. It takes only a pathetic country like Canada to send govt officers home with no access to their files or computers then complain about shit.

I don’t think there will be general lockdowns anymore. People accepted it because the plan was to wait for a vaccine, but lockdown after vaccination will create a hopeless situation where people won’t know when it could end. It might go towards what Áustria is doing. Lockdown for unvaccinated.

I don’t think so. They are imposing vaccine mandates, and requiring US travelers to not only be fully vaccinated, but to have a negative test. Also requiring vaccination for any public travel. Just hope they aren’t weak willed. Now that vaccination opened for under 12, they will probably reach close to 90% total. If that’s not enough, then hell.

Immunization weakens after 6 months or so. Booster is a must. Hopefully people will take it. Fingers crossed.

We saw that Canada has a funny number of available beds in the hospitals. So it doesn't take much to overflow the hospitals there. Also JT is looking for another snap election in early 2023 (there were news somewhere can't find it now) so why not?

Umm... Thats the most insidious thing about this virus is. It takes time before returning a +ve result, even after symptoms. Seen it first hand in the case of my uncle (he died of Covid), he was not vaccinated because it was before vaccines were a thing. For 1 week the damn result was -ve even though he was coughing like hell and doctor was sure that some level of trouble has already set in. Honestly, quarantine and test after 14 days is the only reliable check but that wont work well with most people.
