Is it just me or IRCC has been processing the applications made after 10 of september a lot slower.... like they updated my UCI at some 37 days after my AoR and did not till DATE given my wife's biometric letter for whatever reason. This will surely delay her and my total background check.

Why this weird way of working?

My wife's biometric got updated yesterday when they updated mine. Also there is a ghost update today but nothing changed. I think they are processing every application in different way, not in same sequence may be. Because before my uci got updated, the agent told they already started doing my background check.

My understanding is that they are working with some kind of prioritization... Some applications have been prioritized... may be those where they don't have to wait for something to finish. Something like Medical reassessment.

when I logged in today on Nov. 10th, current status says: "Application/ profile updated"

BG check went from: "We are processing your background check" to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"


is this a GU2?

I believe it's first GU. Seems like you are in the IP1 stage.

Ghost updates: Cant say exactly since there were multiple outages showing app updated
Portal Email: Oct 25
Portal Login: Oct 28 (they screwed up by creating only mine and missed my spouse. so after multiple follow up they fixed it on 31st Oct
eCOPR: Nov 3
Photo and address approved: Nov 4
PR card mailed: Nov 8
PR card delivered: Nov 10

Old medical used, not yet passed. But got a GU yesterday. Don't know whether it is GU1. Not sure bit nothing changed in the profile
