The way it seems is that few folks with old medicals have been updated to "Background Check" state. Some other such folks have been put to wait till their medical pass before they are pushed to background check stage.
My biometric stage is paused...
I see others background check going to progress (this is criminality check).
Bio metrics is needed for criminality stage...

You medicals have been updated and biometrics updated too... That means you are either waiting for Background check to start or they are already running.

when I logged in today on Nov. 10th, current status says: "Application/ profile updated"

BG check went from: "We are processing your background check" to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"

Is it just me or IRCC has been processing the applications made after 10 of september a lot slower.... like they updated my UCI at some 37 days after my AoR and did not till DATE given my wife's biometric letter for whatever reason. This will surely delay her and my total background check.

Why this weird way of working?

I think you are right.

Biometric given on 29th oct and got updated on profile on the same day
Current status:
Biometrics- We do not need your fingerprints
Background check: We are processing your background check...
I got ghost update on 5th Nov

I needed to clarify one thing . Please guide me -
I see my UCI updated from CANxxx to digits and below that bio details with bio number and expiry.

but my biometric timeline section it still says “ we don’t need your fingerprints .. will let you know if this changes “ so my questions is do I consider my bio updated too, like all others are getting ( old bio done for WP in 2019) or should I expect some other changes ?

Then would be it safe to say my UCI and bio have been updated like everyone else on this sept aor thread and only medical pending ( have submitted old medical from 2019 so I know I have to wait longer )

I too got GU1 today but no change in any of the status. Last visible change happened on 1st Nov for medical pass and prior to that for Bio and UCI update.

My AOR is Sep23rd
I have received an update on 30th October that my medical is a Pass

currently i am seeing medical and biometrics is pass and background is showing "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

anybody with similar timelines and what would be the next steps.

WOW! congrats. we've the same date of AOR. but i have old medical so probably it may delay my timeline.
