This is an email and online tracker doesn’t show anything related to this but it has the last update date changed to November.

Most likely it’s part of the Background check activity which maybe in progress.
Reviving FP request is a very normal request now a days, although not every applicant receives this.

Hi Friends,

I got a letter to do the fingerprints. Have anyone else got the fingerprint request?
The link in the letter does not have any specific address and says do it with local police or RCMP or RCMP authorized company.
I did some google search and looks like https://commissionaires.ca/ is doing this at my location. Any suggestions on this shall I do it with RCMP or Commissionaires?

Please let me know if someone has done this already and which one I should choose?

Hi, I had received the finger prints request last month.
You can send an email to CCRTIS-SCICTR@rcmp-grc.gc.ca to get the list of all authorized companies,. They usually send replies in 24 hours.

Can someone please update the tracker? My status on ecas changed to in process on October 18th.

My timeline:

Type: Paper application
Location: Mississauga
Physical Presence Days: 1110
Application: family (2 adults & 1 minor)
Application Sent: June 9, 2021
Application Delivered: June 14, 2021
AOR: Sept 15th
In process ECAS: Oct 18th

They just updated my status on the tracker. My background check as well as my daughter's (the other adult) changed to completed (on November 5th). However, my son's background check status is still in progress (he is a minor), is that normal? We didn't receive a FP request btw.

Hi guys. I checked the citizenship tracker today, it shows "Background Verification" as complete for my application however its "in progress" for my wife and minor child.
Is this a step in the right direction, anything significant about it?

That happened to me as well except that only my son (a minor) still has his in progress. I think it means that we should expect a test invite soon (within a month or so) which is a step in the right direction. I am not sure though.

No.. I heard we will know only from the test invite mail.. I know because one of my friend applied from Regina.

might be a ghost update!? not sure. I'm with a similar timeline as you, AOR Sep 9
