One year has passed since AOR. Was genuinely hopeful at the time that I would be in Canada by this time. Lol @ that. What a joke 2021 has been. Hope 2022 is better.
I feel you. My wife and I were so sure that last birthday would be our last birthday before Canada. We were wrong. Hoping and praying that next birthday we will be in Canada

That's heartbreaking. Do you happen to know the reason why they were refused after waiting for so long?
You may read this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2019-aor-join-here.661770/post-9285469

This was a refusal after 15 months. No ADR and PFL were received. OP didn't say what was the reason for the refusal. But they mentioned that their application was stuck in security and background checks as per the webform they raised. They didn't order GCMS notes as well during the entire process.

Pretty sure something serious came up during security checks, this user didn't even share the reason for refusal and just disappeared.

Appliances? Are they changing their priorities again now
Indeed! Windows 95 laptops need rescuing from recycle! IRCC is prioritizing it over processing any other kind of applications.

"Canada Owes You Muffins!"

PS : I hope they do not botch it up as their Afghan refugee program. 2 months and only 2500 refugees landed. Meanwhile everyone at IRCC calls it bloody murder if you ask them your application status or outland draw possiblity because apparently they are busy in afghan rescue.

Yeah, that’s my hunch too. But then again, once you’ve passed eligibility, the chances for refusal are really low unless there are serious concerns regarding security. What’s concerning however is that a lot of applicants from last year are still stuck on eligibility not started. That’s pretty nerve wracking considering it’s been a year since their AOR.

Don't be frightened by the responses you received as most people on here are extremely frustrated by the IRCC and always expect the worst to happen. If there was anything missing, you would have been asked for it in the form of ADR. Most applications have completed eligibility at the 2-year mark and once this step is complete, the chance of refusal is extremely low. You should order GCMS notes to get more details on your app and see if there's anything concerning there. Rest be sure, your app won't get rejected.
I'd like to think the same and be positive, but I just read this thread: : https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2019-aor-join-here.661770/post-9285469 poor guy's application was rejected after waiting for so long. :( We never know. Now I'm just worried AF because I don't know if IRCC will tag my application as INCOMPLETE or reject me without telling me why or that I have to bother my relative in requesting GCMS notes to find out why I wasted all this time and money. D: this anxiety is killing me.

From what I have seen, applications with local VO as their primary VO have eligibility as not started. Maybe those local VO's were closed for so long and once they started working, they were focussing expired COPR holders and maybe CEC also as mentioned in some of the memos.

Requst GCMS/CBSA notes through a third party asap if you can. It's always good to see the details rather than being in the dark

I will, thank you. I will just give it a little more time since my application isn't a month old. But has anyone ever done that? Ask for GCMS notes during an ongoing application? O_O

If there’s a document missing ir something needs to be corrected, you can send a webform with updated docs
Well, that's just the "problem" causing my anxiety. Reading all those experiences from others wherein their application gets rejected for incomplete documents, and they don't even know what they missed. I uploaded all the documents where I can upload them, but I'm worried if I missed anything else. Sorry to drag about my worries, but this whole thing feels so heavy D:

You can request gcms notes 3-4 months after R10 or when your meds have been passed.
Ah. That's good to know. I uploaded my e-medical forms last week. So, definitely requesting for GCMS after I hear about our medicals.

Can relate; I have/had the same anxiety. Before ITA you have something to look forward to; the ITA, and finally sending your app in. After ITA, you should forget you even applied for your own sake or the long wait (15-21 months on avg now) will be the end of you.

Also MEP/BIL apparently takes 4-5 months now according to myimmitracker. Which means you're not gonna hear from your app for at least 6-7 months from now.
