Hello Forum,
I would like to ask some questions about my possibilities to apply for express entry or other pathways
FACTS
Mexican citizen.
Canadian Temporary Resident
5+ years of experience in NOC 1122 in Mexico. Bussines Management Consultant- (My expertise is on Team Building and Transformation Processes)
Mexican Undergraduate Degree in Psychology
Canadian Film Arts Degree (1 year)
I'm under PGWP until April next year.
I'm doing CELPIP in two weeks. My guess is I will have at least 8 points in each.
Single
Two cousins that are a citizen
41 years
15 years + experience in Mexico
Last 5 years as self-employed on my own bussines
No Canadian experience
I have been offered a job as a contractor as the transformation director of a small organization
Questions,
FEDERAL SKILL WORKER
1. Can I apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program without Canadian Job experience?
2. How many points do I need?
I understand a job offer gives more points
I have been offered a Contractor Job as a Transformation Director (Role is leading the cultural transformation of the organization)
Does this count as experience towards Express Entry?
They are open to making an indefinite job offer.
In order for it to count for Express Entry, does it have to be as an employee or it can also be as Contractor?
CANDIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS
Another option I am considering is applying for CEC which I understand needs one year of Canadian work experience... my PGWP finishes in April next year... (only 6 months left) What would be the best way to extend my work permit?
I was thinking about NAFTA because the job is under NAFTA professions (Psychology and or Management Counselors).
Is that enough to not present LMIA in my express entry application?
How long is the process?
When should I apply? (ensuring I don't have a gap in my job permit)
If I am working under PGWP or NAFTA I don't need to present LMIA on my express entry application, either FSW or CEC is this correct?
Does anybody know when is FSW open again?
Would you recommend creating my profile now or waiting until I have 1 year of Canadian experience?
and lastly,
SELF EMPLOYED
Any information applying as a Self Employed? How easy is it? How long does it take?
Thank you very much for your help!
