the guy's body language show's he knows no shit. everything is based on the ministerial instructions. Only the assholes at the top can answer such questions. My understanding is that a draw happens based on ministerial instructions and every process is based on it. so it should be coming from the Immigration minister's office which again is a "direction" from the PM

I agree, while IRCC is definitely one of the speakers in the conference, it seems more or less guidance on what can the private consultants can expect not 100%, you know how politicians work.

Maybe because most of the CEC folks are actually employed, and is not really looking to fill-in a position. The CEC draws just turned them from TR to PR, not unemployed to employed since they were already employed in the first place.

Its not too hard to understand.

300K jobs go unfilled because employers do not want to pay living wages to support a family! I am in one of the most useless and most expensive city of Canada and there is an entire economy built out of fleecing students as a cash-cow by locals in form of rent and by businesses in form of cheap and good-looking labour. Heck many restaurants were rooting for more study permits this year! The locals have said NO to pathetic wages and high cost of living.

40K applications are to keep on pumping the assest bubble in Canada (so that investors in real estate and related industry like timber keep their investment). Later some of these will be dumps for extremely expensive --may be utterly useless-- assets like 1 bedroom condos. This is the way Canadian economy goes round and round year after year.

Yes PNP-O from India. The trend is if medicals are expiring or expired and you get a re-med request, then all stages have passed and the application is approved by a VO and PPR will be issued once the medicals are passed again. This guy got PPR one week after re-medicals passed.
